Dr Jiansong Yang, Co-founder and CEO, has more than 15 years of experience in modeling and simulation. Prior to setting up Mosim, he was Director of Clinical Pharmacology Modeling & Simulation at GSK (2009-2015) and Principal Scientist at Simcyp (2003-2009). Since its foundation in October 2015, Mosim has grown substantially into a team of 38 staff members (up to June, 2017), including 8 PhDs and 19 Masters. Mosim is headquartered in Zhangjiang Pharma Valley (Shanghai), with branch offices in Nanjing and Beijing.

The company name 'Mosim' is an abbreviation of 'Modeling & Simulation'. Our core technology is the application of modeling and simulation to guide clinical drug development strategies and optimize the clinical study design. Drug development becomes increasingly expensive and time-consuming. Model-based drug development (MBDD) is a promising approach to improve decision making in drug development. Modeling and simulation provides a quantitative basis for the trial design, dose selection and clinical decision making at various stages of clinical development.
